September is now associated with North East Open Studios (NEOS) for me so this year I took part in this event again for the 5th time. My studio doors were open for visitors every day from 10 to 18 September, and I was very pleased to see how many people came through those doors. Especially busy were the weekends with endless explanations, demonstrations, cups of tea and coffee, tours of my studio, etc. My throat was constantly sore from all the talking and so were my feet from running up and down the stairs but it was all worth it: the attendance, the interest and the comments by the visitors were beyond my highest expectations.
Nine of my paintings found new homes and lots of Giclee prints flew out of the studio as well. It was my best experience with NEOS yet and I will try to do it again next year. Thank you to everybody who came to my studio!
